Back to finish off some hedge trimming that required a little more reach at Clyffe Hall in Lavington! We had been there earlier when we cut all the formal hedges in the gardens, but could not reach the larger yews. So a return visit with our ‘red’ 23m tracked MEWP was needed so we could finish the job.

Our task was to erect a fence to protect an area on Salisbury Plain. We used 300m of Armco barrier fencing welded into RSJ steels driven into the ground.

Tad and Matty have been planting Hornbeam hedging in Avebury Trusloe – a few hundred metres to improve the garden boundary
Trusloe is a Street in the village of Avebury Trusloe which measures approximately 189 metres long.
Hornbeams are hardwood trees in the flowering plant genus Carpinus in the birch family Betulaceae. The 30–40 species occur across much of the temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere.
85 m of 1.8m high Hit & Miss fence erected at Lacock for the Parish Council.
Hit-and-miss fencing is vertical fence panels ( like picket fence but square tops ) 6ft high. It has gaps in it, hence hit-and-miss, so it does not look as commercial,

The yellowish stone is crushed flint, which is harder wearing than shingle and is a good colour.
Preparation for seeding at Bishops Cannings Cricket Club earlier in the week, following importing and levelling of soil to bring up outfield levels.
We were asked to level and seed the area and sow with sports mix grass seed. Tristan spent a Saturday on the stone burier to get things level; seed was drilled today and rolled in. Green in a couple of weeks – hopefully!
