Landscaping at Ticehurst

A spot of landscaping from last week at Ticehurst more pictures to follow…

Probably ‘spot’ is an understatement…. To fit around the existing trees of Corsican Pine, Turkey Oak, Atlas Cedar and English Oak, the plants included a selection of Acer, Betula, Catalpa, Quercus, Taxus baccata, Cornus, Prunus spinosa, Ilex aquifolium, Escalonia, Berberis Darwinii, Pyracantha, Eunonymous and hebe.

About 900 altogether ….

Timber Firing Points, Warminster Ranges

Our original Facebook post at the beginning of November showed that we were making a number of these. We mentioned that they would be painted cream and concreted to the ground.   But we didn’t get many replies as to what they would be used for, so we thought you’d like to know the answer!

They are, in fact, timber firing points we installed at Warminster Ranges, all made in-house.  And they had to be painted country cream as they didn’t want bright white!

Making and installing props to support veteran oak trees:

Today we have been installing props under veteran oaks to support over extended limbs.  We made the props in-house along with all metal feet and supports, installed by Steve and Dan.
