The stack of timber and pictures do not do this project justice. We removed 15 very large poplars from a narrow and sometimes waterlogged strip of land between a security fence and an SSSI canal, then through a very small gate.
A great result which can only be described as a job that never went wrong but had its challenges!
Well Done – Scott, Cameron, Antony, Samuel and the team.

Reducing a group of 5 poplar trees at Heywood House today. A two cherry picker day!!
Formerly National Trust, Heywood House in Westbury is now privately run as offices.
A group of trees in the main car park were reduced as they had become too high and the view across to Westbury White Horse was no longer visible from the offices !!

The VOSCH grapple saw was supplied and fitted to our Takeuchi 2150 excavator by Richard Court Forestry Engineering Ltd as the UK dealer, along with additional uprated hydraulics required to operate the grapple saw and a bulletproof windscreen to protect the operator. This machine represents £130,000 of investment to ensure dangerous ash trees can be managed safely and efficiently; as their condition worsens due to ASH Die Back Disease; whilst they may look OK from the initial inspection but they are becoming very brittle.
With this investment, Conservation Contractors Ltd have added over £250,00 of plant and machinery to their fleet over the past 18months.
